So glad that Christian fellowship in USM successfully registered 60 new voters in just 3 hours, which also means 1 student in every 3 minutes! Even though there are a lot of obstacles we're facing, we can shout out to the world saying that we did something for our nation. God is good!

What does politics have to do with me?

Most people avoid the issue of politics and do not want to be associated with it at all. But have you ever talked about rising food prices, increased cost of living, corruption, freedom and equality and wanted to do something about it?

Everything is affected by politics. The truth is, politics plays a much bigger role in our lives than we realise.

This is a democratic country and that means it's your right to get a say in who runs your country, and how this country is run.

When we choose not to vote, we are also choosing not to voice our opinions. It's almost as if we're saying we don't care what happens.

So in that sense, we lose our right to complain if things don't pan out the way we want it too.

When Human Rights in Malaysia is so cacat..

Dear Friends,

There are over 94,000 refugees and asylum seekers in Malaysia, and they are among the most destitute and marginalized populations in the country.

Refugees do not have the right to work. Their children cannot go to public school. They have very poor access to health care. Poverty and hunger are daily realities. And because they fled from their home countries due to persecution, they cannot return home.

To survive and provide for their families, refugees and asylum seekers in Malaysia often work in low paying jobs without legal protection. Because their labor rights are not upheld in Malaysia, unscrupulous employers and agents take advantage of them. They use a host of tactics– including deception, withholding of wages, physical confinement, debt bondage, and violence–to force refugees into jobs and keep them from leaving.

Refugees and asylum seekers are all around us in Malaysia. A refugee might have served you coffee this morning in a restaurant. Or built the apartment you are living in.

Unfortunately, forced labor and human trafficking are also all around us in Malaysia. In fact, in a recent study, 61% of refugees and asylums who had worked full-time in Malaysia had experienced forced labor.

How does this affect refugees and asylum seekers in Malaysia? Research in Malaysia found thatrefugees who had experienced forced labor had higher rates of Depression and Anxiety compared to those who had not. It is also known that survivors of human trafficking suffer tremendously, particularly in terms of their health. They are vulnerable to infectious diseases, malnourishment and injuries. Mental health is equally a concern.

Momentum is building around the issues of trafficking and forced labor in Malaysia. The government is waking up to the problems, and civil society is working to create an environment that reduces vulnerability and protects survivors. What is needed now is for more people to take a stand and call for substantial changes in laws, policies and programs in the country.

This is where you can do your part.

Sign the Petition Letter to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, to take a stand against forced labor and human trafficking in Malaysia and to ask for a stronger protection environment for refugees and asylum seekers.

I'm that kind of person who think of death, something like what if I'll be dead in less than 10 years, 20 years time. No one know when the Lord is going to take away one's life. He gives, he takes away. The other day I was reading Ps Sam's book called "Found in Christ" and the words struck me. "One of these days, they're going to take you out to the cemetery, drop you in a hole, throw some dirt on your face, and go back to the church to eat potato salad... ...When you die, would you leave this world happily alone or would, when you leave, everybody else is sad and heartbroken. The answer depends on whether you live to get titles or testimonies.

Now I am not sure how many will turn out on the day of my funeral, how do they react, will they be quiet or happy or sad or devastated, and how many will testify on what I've done in their lives. In the end of the day it is not about my career or my wealth or even my achievement anymore. It is about the legacy that I leave behind. I want to make impact the lives of people around me. I want God works His plans and miracles through me.I want to reach out to those who lost their identity and directions, be the one to approach when they do not know what to do, and someone they can look up to, someone they can learnt from. I know I'm not exactly perfect. To be honest, I find it very, very hard to love someone that is unlovable, I am kinda lazy, and definitely not a very patient person. But I believe if we allow God to use us as his vessel, He will change every flaws in us, just like what is written in Philippians 1:6, we can be confident "that the God who started this great work in you would keep it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears." In other words, God will complete the job. There are few things that God has put my heart on. It has become my desire to serve the Lord by bringing people even closer and nearer to Him, giving Him the glory and honour 'til the very last breath.

After four months of rotting in Sibu, it's finally coming down to three days left before leaving this piece of land, again. People asked me how do I feel when it is less than a week before going back to campus. Well, mixed feelings. I am definitely going to miss the lovely people, the countless limteh sessions with mostly chinese tea, the gossips with the girls, and some kepo guys which I think they secretly change their gender if not why so kepo like us, and not to mention the food here. I can't drive in Penang because my lousy friends go against it. So in conclusion I must indulge in Sibu food here so much I don't want to touch it for the rest of five months and talk so much until go sore throat!

But I'm actually very looking forward to Penang coz I miss that cozy little room and some of the food like pasembur, banana leaf rice, my lassi, Ingolf's mixed grill, Subway, proper dim sum, etc.

Logos Hope is in Penang!! It's a must to go and just stare at that ship. I visited its sister ship, M.V. Doulos in Kuching before. However the world's oldest ocean going passenger ship and servant vessel for the Lord not longer serving and is replaced by Logos Hope.

Miss EPCC church a lot! :D Thank God that Florence revealed some upcoming activities for the new sem like Campus Party and Campus Camp. Hopefully Ps Sam has came back from his sabbatical leave...

...and not forgetting PKA. They shall be my medicine to my homesickness soon. It won't be easy to let go the easy cozy life here in Sibu as soon as I go back to Penang, but I'm pretty sure I'll be doing fine.

Daiso is a heaven on earth. I bought these DIY button making kits from Daiso after learning from SzeJie's blog that they do sell this there.

There are a lot of sizes available but I just bought two kinds, together with another packet of refill button case for each size.

The refill packet has more button case but it doesn't have the white and blue plastic thing. Those two are the helping kit for u to make a button.

Firstly, you will need this.

And you just have to find some small piece of cloth that you wish your button will look like.

Cut the cloth slightly bigger size than the case.

Then put the cloth on the white plastic thing, followed by the metal cap, and push it in with the blue plastic.

After cutting the extra edges of the cloth, if it is too big, then just fold the extra's inside the cap.

And place the other part of button and push it in with the blue thingy again. Lastly take out the whole thing and voila!

A lil cute button is born today!

The bigger button is the exact same process, so just repeat the whole thing again.

So cute!!

And the bottom is like chips in casino. hahaha okay that's all the crap today. thankyouselamatharirayamerdeka. :)

Handmade from Felts

While i was in Malacca the other day, I went to Daiso in Pahlawan Mall and got myself bunch of stuff and ultimately I have to declare bankrupt.

One of the things I got myself is packets of felt. It was so attractive, plus i always wanted to make some craft out of it. Guilty!

So before my passions burnt out, I bought some of the other materials and buy more felts in Sibu.

These are what I've made today. All from felts!

flower 001 - The very first attempt. Shall make more of this. Check out the tutorial.

flower 002 - This lil one is pretty easy to do. The key is the length of felt but this one is pretty much near the border. Check out the tutorial.

flower 003 - Love this mainly because i love mustard colour.The way to do it is pretty much like flower 001. Check out the tutorial.

flower 004 - Love this so much cause of the funkiness and the colours. Who want who want?? Check out the tutorial.

flower 005 - White flowers with 20 petals and 6 tiny pearls in the middle. White never fails. Check out the tutorial.

flower 006 - Simple flower but not easy at all. Check out the tutorial.

flower 007 - Simpler version of previous flower. Not bad ey? Tutorial like previous one.

flower 008 - It actually looks very pretty. ^^ Check out the tutorial.

bow 001 - The only bow i made. I think it would look nice if it is stuck on a hairband. Check out the tutorial.

Yesterday, my flight from Sibu to Kl is delayed for 3 hours to 11.20pm. It is so insanely late so decided to request to change my flight to today's. Anyway, will spend next few days in KL, Phuket and Malacca. :P

Most importantly I will try to go BookXcess to buy some books back. Out of books to read.

Phuket with HanYang, Rouen, Winnie, Gary and Su ee. Hopefully this trip will be great.

It's been too long. Wanted to go Malacca again for good food and good shopping. :)

I've learnt a lot ever since i brought my friends who came to Sibu around this piece of offer-nothing-but-eating land. Well that would be in another post, hopefully. So some of the places we went in last July are -

One of the view from Tua Pek Kong, overlooking Rejang River stretch. You can actually get the keys to go up all the way to the top floor and have a good view on Sibu main area.

I am surprised Heritage Centre of Sibu does have a lot of useful information on the historical and heritage side of Sibu, other than its award-winning architecture.

One of the things that I do right, is to bring few friends out to meet the tourist of the day. Always more fun and they might add up some stories as well.

Muhibah is always a must-go place, for the food, drinks, ice-cream and the long chatting that could go on for hours.

Ended up at Bukit Aup after searching for Hoover Memorial in Sungei Merah. That was few weeks before some fishes in the pond died because of the weather and some said acid rain. We found Hoover Memorial after that. :)

So here's a toast to Sibu, for forcing us to sqeeze our brainjuice to find some place to go because we just don't want to eat and eat and.. eat.

I found some old photos of my days in Girls' Brigade. Time passes by so fast. I still remembered I was invited to go to GB by my neighbour, Susan. It wasn't a surprise that from then on I stayed until I was in Matriculation college.

I thank God for bringing me to GB as that early, to know more about Him, to makes friends, and to have a great childhood.

It was 14 years ago yet it felt like yesterday...

This is the third time me being a tour guide in Sibu. One of the best way is to bring them around to eat. Too much food, too little time. I certainly hope they won't grow fat because of me.

dinner under PAYUNG

Finally my two of my buddies - Grace and Tin Yee came back to Sibu for holidays! So I suggested to go Payung for dinner since we've never tried the food before. Heard a lot of good comments from other people regarding the food.

They decorated the place a lot. Feel like I'm in Bali but the moment I turned my head to the other side of view it's back to Sibu again. Sigh! We ordered Green Tea milk shake, Banana milk shake and Chocolate milk shake. Not bad.

We ordered Mushroom Roll which I found it's skin taste better than the mushroom itself because of the crispiness. The mushroom a bit tasteless I would say.

My first garlic bread in Sibu! It is actually garlic bread with chicken soup. I have been craving for garlic bread ever since came back from Penang coz it is so common in Penang. : ) But usually garlic bread comes with mushroom soup back in Penang so this is good enough for me.

This is my favourite's in Payung for the night - Fish Otak-otak with rice. It's spicy and delicious!! So glad I ordered this. Whee~

One thing wonderful of Payung is that the service is very very good! Very polite and very sensitive of our needs. For example, you know when you ordered cold drinks and normally after sometimes part of the table will be wet right? The waiters just so automatically came and cleaned for us before we even frowned. And they spoke English. Proper one okay? No lala voice oneeee.. So yeah! I will definitely go back for more. Anyone?

Cakes from Tom's Too

There's a new cafe opened in Sibu called Tom's Too. After visiting Suituapui's blog and knowing that they serve good cakes, I decided to buy some to try since it was my brother's birthday.

The cakes in Tom's are a bit pricey, even pricier than Secret Recipe!! So they better really do taste great!

Coco Napoleon - RM13.90

Personally, I love this Coco Napoleon. Layers of cheese, coco, cookies, and other stuff, i think. It's so good that I don't mind to buy again next time even though the portion is so small. Of course it would be better if they increase the size lar. :P This can beat Nadeje cake!! hehe

Marble cheesecake (Left) - RM10.90 ; New York cheesecake (Right) - RM10.90

Bought Marble because the guy said that it's one of their signature cake. Not really special, just decent marble cake lar. I wouldn't buy New York anymore. Just hate when they put Lemon Glaze on top. It is not supposed to be there or they can just renamed it as Lemon cheesecake. :(

It's been holiday for me for around one month. So what I've been doing for the past a month?

1. Travelling in Singapore.

2. Working as intern in one of the architecture firms in Sibu. Almost everyday lunch time after having lunch, I would go to Popular to read books. :D Free books to read!! Half finished The Definitive Book of Body Language and Sh*ts My Dad Says. :P

3. More books to read. Bought The Choice from Book Xcess again, and another The Lady Most Likely from Popular.

3. Volunteer in 卫理报(Methodist Weekly Magazine),helping out in typing and translating.Try to do as much volunteer work now before I graduate. And it's a very practical way to serve God, especially in words ministry. :)

4. Help out my mom in sewing the fabric I bought from Ikea into a small little bag. More to come~

I'm going to register myself to go to longhouses under Wesley Church for Gawai Thanksgiving this Wednesday. So looking forward to it as it's been 5 years I have yet to visit them. :)

We went to Universal Studio on the second day of our trip. We booked the entrance ticket online and we got it with 20% discount via Mastercard. Yay!

We didn't really have any expectation before going, it turned out to be a great day! Had so much fun even though we missed the Jurasic Park games due to technical problem. Why that day!! Nonetheless, we enjoyed every bits of Universal Studio.

and more... Thank God the weather was good.

We tried out the hat. Funny right? hehe.. They actually put some outside and nobody cares you just wear it and take tonnes of photo of yourself. :P

After explored the whole Universal Studio, we went to the beach part of Sentosa. It's another great place to chill and take photo.

This is the skyride we took before we tried out Luge. The view is so awesome especially when it was sunset time. :)

I always wanted to try out Luge ride. Accidentally found it when doing my assignment and think it's really cool. One thing of Sentosa and Universal Studio, they always put some camera out there and take photo of you and you don't have any and you ended up buying those photos with expensive price. *killme*

We ended the day with Songs of Sea. It is another must-do in Sentosa! :)

Awesome days in Singapore and I'm looking forward for my next trip to Phuket!! :)

Hi all, this post has been disappeared so I'm posting it back and have to write something here again. :(

So I went to Singapore with four of my friends, taking flight to Changi Airport which we booked one year in advance.

We stayed in Empire Hostel in Lavender for 17sgd per night. It's quite cheap but considering the location i would prefer much nearer place to stay. So for the first stop, we went to Bugis for shopping. Everything is so cheap that you could get a top or a pair of pants with 10sgd, which equals to RM24 and you won't find it in Malaysia. Can you believe that? *big grins*

Chinatown for second stop. It's a good place to find food and souvenirs. As we walked further, we found the price dropped gradually, which is a good thing for us. :)

After that we went to Clarke quay to meet up with HanYang's brother, Nick. He brought us around, introducing the places to us. :) It's a great place to just chill out have a drink. :)

The second day was all about Universal Studio and Sentosa. That I will post in next one. Third day we went to Marina Bay after went to Faith Methodist Church introduced by Roy, as well as shopping in Orchard. I bought a lot from Uniqlo. I thought I'll miss the sales in KL but who knows I could get it in Singapore and with cheaper price. nyehehe.. Marina Bay is quite a happening place as well. MeiSan insisted us to go to Casino. LOL. Why can't Malaysia has a place like this?? :(

I just moved to a new place in Penang. It'a actually just the next block to my previous one and I'll be staying with Winnie. Yay!!

It's been a messy week so it is a great getaway when I went to KL again to meet Han Yang. :) Had a lot of makan time and shopping + movie time :D

Managed to meet up with Esther Chia and Wilbur in Pavilion and we went to watch The Lost Bladesman.

Not bad. I totally forgot about Three Kingdom and so was kinda blur of who's the bad one who's the good one..

Han Yang brought me to Delicious to have some desserts. Yay!!

Just to make you all hungry. hehe Definitely going back for more :D

Women Conference 2011

One of the achievements for this year is being part of the organizing committee of Women's Conference for EPCC church. To be one of the instruments that God used to bring ladies together, finding their identity in Lord is truly an amazing and awesome experience. I love how Pastor Sandra (the forth from right) conveyed her message, and really edifying us in one way or another. She is one of the kind of pastor that laughs a lot, so funny, and you will just love her on stage.

This is the very first time EPCC orgarnized Women's Conference, even though we have couple Men's Conference before. Certainly next year there would be another round of Women's Conference and I'm so looking forward to it. :D

Remember Farewell night last year and last last year? Gosh time flies!!

This year i went for some hair-do coz Winnie dragged me..

It wasn't so bad but the best part is at the back of your head so i couldn't see it until today when i look at the photo.

This year, it was taken place in Heritage Hotel. Much cheaper than previous year but you know, the quality also much 'cheaper' in the sense..

The place we had look quite plan so i decided to bring my girls to the little garden part so that the photo taken will be more vibrant instead of plain white background and plain white light.

Funny it looks like they were posing as supermodels. This could be some band album cover even. (That's why i set this as the icon picture in facebook.

Which one do you prefer? 1? 2? or 3? :)

My cell group - Matt's! Love funny picture than normal-same-same-smile photos. So cute right?

My EPCC cell group - Makarios. See we have girls-overloaded and guys-deficiency. Anyway that Derek also seldom come to cg, and only Su Ee is the regular one but he's partially girl so.. Girls' power!

So glad Sharon was there. She was our ex president and now she's working and yea, the one lent saree to me which i haven't returned yet. Just missed seniors around coz being the wise one among the not really and being around the wise one is completely different story and no i'm not referring me as wise but you know..

So happy! I'm going back!! My church is collecting funds for us to fly back and vote! Well partially sponsor us. And what's more, I get to vote in my high school SMK Methodist!! See that? See that? 机器人也是有垮倒的时候。。

与其把部落格写成那么忧郁，倒不如分享一点我这几个月的进展吧。。不会太仔细。。有疑问的话就直接问我吧。

开始做part time的工了。在一家珍珠奶茶店，快一个月了。还蛮好的。。只需要一个星期做三天，所以不是赚很多。本身不太介意工钱，因为会泡了之后还蛮有成就感的。不仅如此，也可以消遣多余无聊的时间，还不错啦。。

发现有的时候如果一个人拍拖了，真的要懂得如何管理感情与两个人对于周围人的态度。有的时候获得了爱情反而失去了理性和友情。这又何必呢？

有的时候会很怕为未来的事做打算。想将就一步走一步。人生不需要太复杂，可是又不可以没计划。矛盾啊矛盾。。。

假期快点到吧！！

You know the feeling of happiness when it comes the moment that you had a very good food, that kind of super contented and satisfied feeling when you get what is beyond you expected. Okay i might sound a tad exaggerated but the point is, the food Soul Kitchen serves is better than Harvest Inn. So we went to this place to have our CG dinner after reading several review especially from What2seeOnline .

First, it was quite hard to find the place especially when we were not that familiar with Georgetown and Winnie's GPS was boycotting.

The place is not big, but it is warm and cozy enough that we knew we came to the right place!

You can't find much chalkboard menu around Penang. Kinda reminds me of the blackboard in primary school.

Papaya & Orange Smoothie! Even better!! Amazingly the papaya taste is just nice so as not to overpower the overall taste. Double thumbs up!!

Penne Chicken Al Limone. We all agreed this is the best food of the night! super Special and super Awesome!!

Lasagne. Must try!! We liked it so much!! Another must try!!

Stone Oven Pizza Salami. (tak halal one) Yum Yum!!

Tramezzini Grilled Sandwich. Again, not many places in Penang offered grilled sandwiches and so far i think this is the only one. Love what they offered!!

For dessert, we had Tiramisu. It was awesome coz you can actually taste a lil bit of wine. Tonio's grandfather's recipe!

I would love to go back to this place again!! Someone bring me!!!! :)

Sarawak Election!

Sarawak Election day is coming very soon even though the real date has yet to be revealed. Sibu has shown a very good progress seeing BN no longer rules while DAP taking over the flag. Personally, I'm very eager to see another miracle happening for this coming election. We must keep holding the principle that no injustice shall rule Sarawak this land. And certainly not giving any way to some super rich ~~and super white hair~~ dude to continue exploiting this land. I heard a lot of 'NOT ANYMORE' from the people itself. Will the corruption and evil tactic coming to us? I am very sure there will be. But we people must stand up, stop complaining and do our part. So many people can talk and talk but how many are there to do their part? Spread the words, encourage others to join the troop, vote for the right person, and pray! 2 Chronicles 7:14 'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.' It is the time for us to rise up, to stand against the evil, to cry out and pray for our land. God will fulfill His promise and heal our land from injustice.

I like my friend, Esther's words - When we intercede for our broken land, one day, when the revival comes to our land, we have a part in the effort. :)

There are a lot of practical ways that you can be a part of this revival.

1. Pray for the election. Pray that the wise and right candidate will be chosen.
2. If you are over 21 please register as a voter.
3. Even if you are not over 21.Spread the words. Encourage others to vote.
4. Go vote! Every vote counts!

Footnote: I wrote this because I realised a lot of believers are not aware that this is a way of us doing our citizen part to our nation. A lot of times, it is not only about prayers but also our actions. :)

IJM Mentor-Mentee Meeting & CNY Dinner

I went to attend IJM Mentor-Mentee Meeting & CNY Dinner last week.

This trip is so worth it as I met with my new mentor which is an architect who just started to work in IJM last year.

He gave me some advices which made me think twice of my plans.

Besides, he brought me to have a look at the new architecture department. Cool!

Datuk Teh Kean Ming, who is a new CEO of IJM, was giving speech as a startup for the mentor-mentee meeting. I did have a few conversations with Dato' Teh since I came across his name when I had my internship in IJM Penang last year.

Aeroline!

You know how high it is the road accident rate which involve buses in West Malaysia today. The drivers always drive super fast like crazy and owh, the toilet break is so long! And that is why I rather take Aeroline to travel. Even though their toilet is so small (smaller than AirAsia), at least they had one and I don't have endure the long toilet break. Last week I bought a return Aeroline bus ticket to and fro Penang-KL. It costed me RM60.00 per way, exclude 3% of convenience charge. I took 5pm bus to One Utama from Penang and 11am bus from One Utama to Penang. It was so worth it!! I'll tell you why..

It's a double decker bus where the passengers' seat are all at the upper level and the bus lounge is at the lower level. However the two buses i took are different from each other.

Free meals and a bottle of mineral water are given to every passenger. I had chicken rice from The Chicken Rice Shop. Not bad!

It was very filling as they offered hot drinks too. It is up to you whether you prefer Milo, tea or coffee.

I had Subway for the trip back to Penang. Yay!!

And from the Movie, you have another 6 option which include Documentaries, English Movies, Kids, Local, Mini Clips or Music Video.

You can choose any movie that you want to watch from 500 Days of Summer, Becoming Jane, Bride Wars, to...

The Box, The Librarian, The Proposal and a lot more..

While if you pick Music Video, you will get music Video from Beyonce, Mariah Carey to Michael Jackson. Awesome right?

If you prefer something more intellectual, you can always opt for Documentaries where you can learn about Ice World, Jungles, March of the Penguin, etc.

If you prefer to just want to lie down and relax, there are a lot of songs categories available, ranged from ballads, instrumental, hip hop, classic pop, and the list goes on..

So, if you're going to take bus the next time, do try out Aeroline. :D

Isn't it awesome when you have that special someone who is there to spend lovely days with all kinds of surprises to just make you happy? Well, I found mine!! ~~Don't steal from me or i will kill you!~~

We went to Tenji in Mont' Kiara, KL to try out the japanease buffet. It was our second choice actually since we can't book any seat for the other one...

The price was around RM130+ for both of us. If you're a big eater, then it is quite worth it.

Happy CNY!! It is one of those times that Sibu is so happening. Meeting up with friends are so enjoyable; seeing so many relatives is so comforting. I worked out a lot before cny by cleaning every corner of my house. You can see my muscles that is popping out, like seriouslyl!! Mom was so careful. She insist to put Jesus's portrait the highest on the wall. My dad just couldn't stop feeding us with tonnes of food and that's how I gained almost 2kg. It's a great achievement for me okay? I hardly grow meats. I was so glad i put on weight this time because... *not gonna tell you*

Thank God it's Monday because it's CG time! To kick start for this sem, we decided to follow the PKA culture - makan-ing while ber-bonding together-gether.

We decided to rock this restaurant called Sticks, an al-fresco outside Queensbay.

What a name for a restaurant. Nevertheless, the ambience is good coz we had the whole indoor part to ourselves with air-con and smokeless breeze from outside.

Dress Code

Compassionate Leave

Toilet Use

Every semester, right after end of holiday PKA will have Presession to welcome back every members before we start our normal Bible Exposition meeting and cell group meeting. It's another familly time where we just chill out and berbonding with one another while the exco-s giving out the new programmes for the new sem.

With crazy and weird peoples all around, the night was full of joy and laughters...

...with all the pretty girls...

... except two of us. We're normal. ehem...

With all the great food and beverage in the world, I doubt that money will ever be enough for me, especially when your parents said don't ever be kiam siak over food, your boyfriend keep introducing super heavenly delicious food and your friends keep bringing you around for makan, and let's not excluding every outing session of PKA or EPCC cg is everything about makan and makan.

I love Pokka Jasmine Green Tea. Although the original sugarless green tea is better for health, I still madly in love with this. Every time when I'm back in Sibu there's definitely a packet of that waiting for me. Just couldn't drink too much here away from home coz it's 40 or 50 cents more expensive in Penang :(

Ever since one of my friends introduced the devil Bundaberg Ginger Beer to me, I couldn't restrain myself from this ginger beer so I would get one from Ta Kiong if I'm back home or I could get one from Cold Storage but it's so far from here :( Last time Red Carrot used to sell this too but I can't find in on the menu the previous visit. *double sad*

I love orange juice from Peel Fresh because it's sweet and it contains lots of starch. Just recently I found another new brand called Rio and it's super cheap as it's on promotion. =)

Cincau with milk is one of the drinks that I grow with. I like the sweetness while i crunch on something while Cincau with soya is a no-no for me. I am sure the person who invented whatever that is, never taste the one with sweet milk!!

Coconut juice is the best refreshing juice ever and full stop. I think everyone agrees with me so no further explanation. :P

I love cheese cake!! I can take whatever cheese cake as long as there is no nuts.

I love scones! The cute lil thing with strawberry jam, butter and whipped cream however is super expensive in Malaysia. So not fair! Maybe I should learn how to bake scones one day..

I love lamb. Lamb steak, lamb chop, everthing lamb! and with mint sauce! mehhh~~

I miss Malacca Hainan bread with kaya butter. Look at the butter... Old town kopitiam can chap lap already!! You can't find a lot of place offering good handmade bread with generous kaya butter like that.

and Sushi! I don't think anyone will hate sushi. It is just so cute!! I can eat sushi range from Jusco sushi to Sushi buffet at Miraku, G-hotel. I'm not picky oneeee... but of course if I have option i would go for the better one lah. Sad thing is, it would cost a bomb.

I'm so hungry right now.. Why am i torturing myself? And again, I wonder why am i still underweight??

The other days we went to Vintage Bulgaria for Rachel's farewell before she going to NZ. Even though this Bulgarian restaurant is just next to Ingolf's, I still have yet to try out their food. Partly because German food is more tempting to me. Oh, Michael Barrack!! =P

It wasn't so bad considering the restaurant has quite attractive facade, like an ancient house with rocks all over as wall and timber for the other parts.

The food here costs slightly more expensive than Ingolf's. RM30 and above.

National Conference R.I.U.T. (2)

Prior to the camp, each one of us received a letter by NC and one of the items mentioned was about cultural night so we need to bring along some traditional wears. Thanks to Sharon Anne, she lend me her black saree which i had no idea how to put on it at first. And thanks to Youtube, i found a video how to wear a saree and they gave quite a helpful tips. I tried it once before going to NC and i was so proud of myself for successfully wearing it. Yet on the day itself the long cloth kinda turned out like a bunch of blanket unwrapped. Thank God that there's an indian family waiting for lift. I asked them to confirm my wrapping and they pulled me into their room which is just next to the lift (so near, so convenient) and the kind old lady (who only speak tamil) helped me to re-wrap everything with the help of another two young ladies. Voila! It turned out so gorgeous i felt so comfortable with it. *big grin* Praise God!

I miss the sky, the sun, the beach and the people there. It wasn't the greatest beach but it was gorgeous because of the cheerful people there.

One of the unforgettable nights in NC. All kinds of people wearing all kinds of traditional costumes. Awesome people, awesome smile, awesome expression. Aren't we a vibrant, colourful and lovely nation?

Thanks to the NC committee for preparing this big conference for more than a year, thanks to the speakers who blessed us so much, thanks to the helpers for the patience and ALSO setting up Lost and Found corner (lost my water tumbler twice!!), thanks for those who sponsored this conference and our awesome hotel room and the great food, and thanks for all the participants who joined NC for making life impact one way or another, and thank Heavenly Father for such a wonderful event. National Conference R.I.U.T. (1)

Once in five years, FES organized National Conference for all national Christian undergraduates. This year it was held in Port Dickson with some international students joining us. This six days of camp had been such a blessing to everyone who joined it. The theme of the NC is set as R.I.U.T. (Risk It, U-Turn) which calls out everyone to take whatever risk and u-turn back to the act counter-culturally, stand up for the truth and be a difference.

KL trip

I decided to go KL to spend times before I'm rotting kaw kaw. So I went KL with YienPing, Connie and Siaw Hui by bus since they finished their exams on last friday. We booked Hotel Fortuna, which is located at the centre of Bukit Bintang, so it's very convenient for us to travel around. Less than 5 minutes of walk to Bukit Bintang station and shopping malls are just within walking distance. Nice right? =P

Spent a great day walking in Georgetown

Buying dodol for my Taiwan friend, Lisa to bring back,

Selling two of my books at Chowrasta which in the end I bought another book from Paulo Coelho 'The Pilgrimage',

and just wandering around without direction and immerse into this heritage town.

Wanted to go Chowrasta from here but missed the turn so end up taking a big round. Don't ask the aunties here 'How to go Chowrasta?' They only know the Chinese term for it which I had no idea what it is and ended up having hard time to find it.

This whole week God has been teaching me to seek more of Him in my life. More of You and less of me. Just few days ago, I was stuck in a situation where I was quite disappointed with certain people and I really did not know what to do. All kinds of emotions came by, especially the negative one. And I asked God continue to speak to me and guide me after my devotion that time. And I flipped to this particular page in Mark 9:50 "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other." It straight away struck me. I guess God is always a King of Peace. What an awesome God we worship, what a mighty God we serve. Praise God even though the situation did not get better, now I look at it with different perspective, different attitude and most of all, God gives me a bigger heart to accept people with different characteristic. =)

I don't know how many people realize that there are different terms for 'God' in Bible. I used to read bible without digging real deep into it, which I admit I still do nowadays. Pastor pointed this out and I started to realize how important it is to dig in the words to have better understanding and comprehension of what God did. You see, bible, both English and Chinese, normally just show the term 'God' for all the character of God. But in the original transcript of Bible, different name of God were used to show different character of Him for example, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Rophe, Elohim, Adonai, El, etc. Every term describes God in clearer way and it helps to get the whole picture most of the time. (This is why you should go to church coz Pastor will guide you to understand words of God even better!)

EL: God ("mighty, strong, prominent") used 250 times in the OT See Gen. 7:1, 28:3, 35:11; Nu. 23:22; Josh. 3:10; 2 Sam. 22:31, 32; Neh. 1:5, 9:32; Isa. 9:6; Ezek. 10:5. El is linguistically equivalent to the Moslem "Allah," but the attributes of Allah in Islam are entirely different from those of the God of the Hebrews. ELAH is Aramaic, "god." Elah appears in the Hebrew Bible in Jer. 10:11 (which is in Aramaic, and is plural, "gods"). In Daniel (the Aramaic sections) Elah is used both of pagan gods, and of the true God, also plural. Elah is equivalent to the Hebrew Eloah which some think is dual; Elohim is three or more. The gods of the nations are called "elohim." The origin of Eloah is obscure. Elohim is the more common plural form of El. Eloah is used 41 times in Job between 3:4 and 40:2, but fewer than 15 times elsewhere in the OT.

ELOHIM: God (a plural noun, more than two, used with singular verbs); Elohim occurs 2,570 times in the OT, 32 times in Gen. 1. God as Creator, Preserver, Transcendent, Mighty and Strong. Eccl., Dan. Jonah use Elohim almost exclusively. See Gen. 17:7, 6:18, 9:15, 50:24; I Kings 8:23; Jer. 31:33; Isa. 40:1.

EL SHADDAI: God Almighty or "God All Sufficient." 48 times in the OT, 31 times in Job. First used in Gen. 17:1, 2. (Gen. 31:29, 49:24, 25; Prov. 3:27; Micah 2:1; Isa. 60:15, 16, 66:10-13; Ruth 1:20, 21) In Rev. 16:7, "Lord God the Almighty." The Septuagint uses Greek "ikanos" meaning "all-sufficient" or "self-sufficient." The idols of the heathen are called "sheddim."

ADONAI: Lord in our English Bibles (Capital letter 'L ', lower case, 'ord') (Adonai is plural, the sing. is "adon"). "Master'' or "Lord" 300 times in the OT always plural when referring to God, when sing. the reference is to a human lord. Used 215 times to refer to men. First use of Adonai, Gen. 15:2. (Ex. 4:10; Judges 6:15; 2 Sam. 7:18-20; Ps. 8, 114:7, 135:5, 141:8, 109:21-28). Heavy use in Isaiah (Adonai Jehovah). 200 times by Ezekiel. Ten times in Dan. 9.

JEHOVAH: LORD in our English Bibles (all capitals). Yahweh is the covenant name of God. Occurs 6823 times in the OT First use Gen. 2:4 (Jehovah Elohim). From the verb "to be", havah, similar to chavah (to live), "The Self-Existent One," "I AM WHO I AM" or 'I WILL BE WHO I WILL BE" as revealed to Moses at the burning bush, Ex.3. The name of God, too sacred to be uttered, abbreviated ( . . . . ) or written "YHWH" without vowel points. The tetragrammaton. Josh., Judges, Sam., and Kings use Jehovah almost exclusively. The love of God is conditioned upon His moral and spiritual attributes. (Dan. 9:14; Ps. 11:7; Lev. 19:2; Hab. 1:12). Note Deut. 6:4, 5 known to Jews as the Sh'ma uses both Jehovah and Elohim to indicate one God with a plurality of persons.

JEHOVAH-JIREH: "The Lord will Provide." Gen. 22:14. From "jireh" ("to see" or "to provide," or to "foresee" as a prophet.) God always provides, adequate when the times come.

JEHOVAH-ROPHE: "The Lord Who Heals" Ex. 15:22-26. From "rophe" ("to heal"); implies spiritual, emotional as well as physical healing. (Jer. 30:17, 3:22; Isa. 61:1) God heals body, soul and spirit; all levels of man's being.

JEHOVAH-NISSI: "The Lord Our Banner." Ex. 17:15. God on the battlefield, from word which means "to glisten," "to lift up," See Psalm 4:6.

JEHOVAH-M'KADDESH: "The Lord Who Sanctifies" "To make whole, set apart for holiness." The Lord says: "Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy." (Leviticus 20:7-8)

JEHOVAH-SHALOM: "The Lord Our Peace" Judges 6:24. "Shalom" translated "peace" 170 times means "whole," "finished," "fulfilled," "perfected." Related to "well," welfare." Deut. 27:6; Dan. 5:26; I Kings 9:25 8:61; Gen. 15:16; Ex. 21:34, 22:5, 6; Lev. 7:11-21. Shalom means that kind of peace that results from being a whole person in right relationship to God and to one's fellow man.

SHEPHERD: Psa. 23, 79:13, 95:7, 80:1, 100:3; Gen. 49:24; Isa. 40:11.

JUDGE: Psa. 7:8, 96:13.

JEHOVAH ELOHIM: "LORD God" Gen. 2:4; Judges 5:3; Isa. 17:6; Zeph. 2:9; Psa. 59:5, etc.

JEHOVAH-TSIDKENU "The Lord Our Righteousness" Jer. 23:5, 6, 33:16. From "tsidek" (straight, stiff, balanced - as on scales - full weight, justice, right, righteous, declared innocent.) God our Righteousness.

JEHOVAH-ROHI: "The Lord Our Shepherd" Psa. 23, from "ro'eh" (to pasture).

JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH: "The Lord is There" (Ezek. 48:35).

JEHOVAH-SABAOTH: "The Lord of Hosts" The commander of the angelic host and the armies of God. Isa. 1:24; Psa. 46:7, 11; 2 Kings 3:9-12; Jer. 11:20 (NT: Rom. 9:29; James 5:4, Rev. 19: 11-16).
